Feeding a gull from the ferry.

While back on the mainland to pick up M from the airport,
we stopped by Sand Point on Lake Washington. The fins in the
background are old dive fins from 1960s decommissioned
US naval nuclear submarines. Installation title: From Swords to Plowshares. The fins also represent a pod of orca dorsal fins. Worth visiting if you are in the area.

On this trip the boy got to enjoy lots of beach time.
Water, never-ending rocks, and driftwood--it doesn't get better than this.

He loves the water but on this day a little reassurance
was needed before crossing the line into the cold water.

Earth works to stop the incoming tide--they failed.

While in town we were lucky enough to catch a parade.
Note the lockstep of the local high school band.

We flew M up to WA. It is always nice to see her.
She stayed on an extra week with just the grandparents after we left.
The little man enjoyed lots of attention.
